Meeting between the Asian Development Bank mission and the Minister

On August 19, 2026, a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB)—comprising Sofia Shakil (Director of the Human and Social Development Division, Central and West Asia Department), Aliya Kadirova (Education Specialist), Ko Sakamoto (ADB Country Director for Tajikistan), and other officials—met with Soleha Kholmakhmadzoda, the Minister of Labour, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation. In particular, it was noted that the "Skills and Employability Enhancement Project" has made a significant contribution to engaging young people—especially women—in vocational training at centers that meet modern standards.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation and a readiness to further develop their relationship.
