VISIT OF SOFIA SHAKIL TO ROGUN CENTER

On August 18, 2026, an Asian Development Bank (ADB) mission—represented by Sofia Shakil, Director of the Human and Social Development Division (Central, West, and East Asia Department) and the Sector Groups Division—visited the Job Center in Rogun city.
During the visit, Ms. Shakil familiarized herself with the Center’s operations and its vocational training program. She also participated in the skills assessment for the trades of "Home Appliance Repair Technician" and "Overhead Power Line Installer/Repair Technician," evaluating the skills acquired by the program participants. Ms. Shakil noted that engaging young people—particularly women—in vocational training within the energy sector drives development.
Overall, Ms. Shakil expressed satisfaction with the visit and wished the Center great success in its future endeavors.
